Where to start? The visuals are great and the storyline refreshingly original, but it's just not well put-together. I almost quit at the very beginning. I had read enough to see that there were hints, but I couldn't find a hint button. Then I finally realized that it was at the top of the frame, and since the frame didn't adjust to my screen, it was off-screen. The same with some of the objects. There's a lot of going from one place to another, leaving behind unexplored areas, and some pretty absurd situations: "The first floor of the house has collapsed-- Let's go in on the 2nd floor!" Yet another sad story of a game with a lot of fun potential but too poorly executed to be playable.
The title and art of this game are misleading. There is actually very little about animals in the game; most of the game is a set of logic puzzles. The logic puzzles are broken up by occasional questions about animals or jigsaw puzzles. The thing is, the questions and puzzles are so absurdly easy that they're clearly targeted to very young children -- age 6 or 7 -- but the logic puzzles are difficult enough that they'd be extremely difficult (probably even impossible) for a child that young to solve.
