Just spooky enough for a grandma and 9 yr old grand daughter to play together with giggles and shivers about the spooky parts. We had so much fun playing this together! Enough of a story line for me to like, and not too much where grand daughter got bored or impatient. Fun to move between realms and use things as well. Give it a try, you just might like it.

WHERE WAS I AT WHEN THIS GAME CAME OUT! ANYWAY I RAN ACROSS IT AND LIKED IT. I WOULD'VE LIKED TO HAVE SEEN MORE DETAIL AND BIGGER GRAPHICS TO REALLY GET INTO THE SHOPPING EXPERIENCE!

On the odd side, there is a room you can furnish with money made from repairing/restoring paintings (as though you are the lead character). This room is never explained! In addition, the ending is a rather abrupt.

First, this game was issued as a three-disc, 8-chapter game. So why does this "Part 1" only give us the first two chapters?Second, you are dumped into the game without any explanations of what to do or how to use your acquired "skills." It takes some time to get your bearings.Third, while it's nice that the game allows you a 360 degree view around, up and down, you can only go where the arrows show. And there is no guessing or looking around for things you need to acquire, because only items with little target circles on them can be picked up. So forget thinking--the little circles make it a point-and-click mindless endeavor.Sorry, but this game is really poor.

There's maybe 12 scenes TOTAL in this game and they keep sending you back over and over and over and over again until you just quit the game and don't even care about seeing the ending, which is what I did. I hung in there for 2.5 hours but then I had enough of the same scenes over again.

The best thing about this game was the music, which was cute, upbeat and bouncy. There were no real directions, other than the explanation that you could choose three modes of play, chaining, grouping, or matching. I chose to play in matching because once you got toward the bottom, as noted by another reviewer, it was almost impossible to get the fish or other frozen pieces off the board. It took me quite awhile to realize that I not only had to break all the snow blocks but that I also had to complete the matches at the top of the board. Who looks up there? This is very repetitive with no variation, and the squares are quite small. I don't even think kids would get all the way through without becoming bored. I played 40 games, or 4 levels, before giving up.
