I came back to read the reviews on this game because I got stuck early in the game (level 2) and wondered whether it was just poor skills on my part or others were having problems too. It seems like we all find it too challenging! However, it is a great concept for a game. I think they didn't do any consumer testing. Too bad.
At first this seems like a pretty straight-forward time management game. You're working at a beauty pageant, helping all the girls with their hair and makeup, then sending them out to the stage. There is a storyline going on at the same time, and you get another chapter of the story at each new location. It's somewhat similar to Posh Boutique. You not only move your clients from one station to another, but when they get there you have to click on the hair or makeup palette or facial that makes them smile. But it soon becomes much more challenging than Posh Boutique. There are upgrades available, and if you're meeting your goals you should be able to buy one upgrade after each level. You can also go back and replay levels to see if you can score higher and add to your upgrade points. There are also boosters later in the game, which allow you to speed up or to do everyone's makeup or hair one after another without the pop-up screen slowing you down. Another booster increases everyone's happiness. Some clients lose patience faster than others.
