This game is a treat. It's sweet. I like the housekeeper. I really like the way she walks down the path with the trees blowing and the birds and butterflies flying around her. I think it's beautiful. You make beauty as you go as finding the hidden objects (and there are three ways hidden object is played in this which is fun) entitles you to redecorate your seaside inn and the options for paint, foliage, etc. are lovely. It's a great game to end the day with. You can play this game many times and it is still satisfying. You can create quite different looking inns with varying combinations of available decorative choices. That art style (on the inn) is realistic and it's lovely to "create the inn." What I can't stand about this game is that when you are almost finished creating your beautiful inn, you HAVE to put Christmas decorations on your inn and all of the choices are incredibly horrible. (And anyway, not everybody wants to put up Christmas decorations.) But there's no choice. You cannot opt out and finish the game. Each time as the inn is nearing completion, I have to take my pretty inn that I've designed (and I enjoy making the pretty color combinations with the design elements) and string it (and I mean all over) with toxic looking multi-colored lights that spoil the picture. Then, to top it all off, at the very end, (and again opting out isn't possible), you have to put a huge car right in the very front of the picture (covering about two thirds of the bottom of the picture.) That's the last thing you have to do before completion. It's literally as if they started with a sweet designer with a real concept, and at the end brought in an evil slapdash person to finish the job. So you have such sweet great promise at the beginning and then you can't have that feeling of having made a really pretty inn. It's not actually possible. It's worth getting and it's worth playing and it's fun until the Christmas lights stage. But it's also annoying and disappointing in such an otherwise beautiful game. It's also beyond sluggish. (I'm on a Mac with a big memory.) But that may be something your Support Page will take care of.
I played with fun pass so I finished the game. IF I had to pay for it, I would have stopped after the trial. There is a lot of back and forth, and I do mean ALOT. The help key doesn't let you know where to go just if there is something to do in that area. The ending wasn't and ending at all but possibly a lead in to the bonus area that isn't available in this version. The mini games were good and lots of HO areas with easy to find items. I guess if it would have let me, I would have given it a 2.5 score. Can't say I liked it, but I finished it so that must mean something.
